Waterford City Centre is a festive wonderland full of colour during Winterval and will come alive at night with stunning Christmas lights. We encourage families to immerse themselves in the festival by breaking out their cameras and following the Winterval photo trail. Weather it be visiting Santa’s giant postbox in the apple market or the magic features of Glow in New Street Garden, where you can “earn your wings” at our fairy zone.

 

Other highlights include the Winterval Castle in Arundel Square - home of the famous lightshow. 
Get the family aboard Santa’s sleigh which he has kindly left in John Robert’s Square. Stop at the arch when entering the Winterval Christmas Craft and Food Market. Pop in to George’s Court Shopping Centre and follow the nutcracker trail.  Get the kids of all ages to take a seat in Santa’s throne in the heart of the Winterval Market in Gladstone Street. Jump up beside our Giant elf, perched on his giant shelf in O Connell Street, in earshot of the Winterval main music stage..
