Join us at the heart of Waterford city for the centrepiece of Ireland’s largest Christmas festival.

Soak up the sparkly Christmas atmosphere and yuletide spirit, browse the many Christmas craft and food stalls and support local, regional and national producers, makers and creators this festive season.

Be sure to visit Ireland’s Largest Christmas Tree right at the centre of this year’s Ireland’s Largest Christmas Festival.

Little and big kids (and grown ups that are still kids at heart) can look forward to Elfstival - this year’s children and family destination quarter.

Make sure to take your family photo with Winterval’s giant Elfstival and post your letters for Santa in Winterval’s Giant Post Box. Whirl and twirl on the children’s amusements rides, indulge in some tasty treats and of course make sure to book in to meet Santa and his elves at VIPSANTA experience at The Old Postal Sorting Centre

At this year’s Winterval, we are giving you, your family and friends so many reasons to visit and revisit Ireland’s largest Christmas festival again and again, weekend after weekend.


Waterford’s historic Viking Triangle will be transformed into the bustling Winterval Wonder-Events Quarter - the home of the Winterval 2021 hero-events including Petstival, Ar Ais le Chéile (Irish Language Area celebrating Gaeltacht na nDéise), Kids Lab-Land, WAMA-palooza & The Winter Palace. 

On top of these, you can take a spin on the amusements and enjoy the delicious market stalls in the surroundings of these hero-events.
