Kick back to the live musicians, bands, comedians, majicians, and performance ensembles on The Winterval Main Stage on O’Connell Street, in the heart of the Winterval Market. 


Highlights include music from Deise Brass, High Hopes Choir, comedy from Totally Wired, magic and street performance from Jack Wise and many more.

Across 20 days, the Winterval Market coupled with the Winterval Main Stage will be a cultural Christmas hub, where you go to buy a Xmas pressie, sample some tasty delights, watch some great live performances, and even have a sneaky alcoholic beverage if you wish.

An exciting line-up of vocalists, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and a full brass section, featuring trumpet, trombone and alto/tenor saxophone.

As one of Ireland’s most experienced bands, local heroes Brass & Co. know how to make O’Connell Street Live a night to remember! Their genre-spanning repertoire will get everyone dancing on the street. Their lineup of expert musicians perform every song with infectious energy and presence. You just can’t beat a punchy horn section to really inject wow factor into your favourite tunes. When performed with a lineup of drums, bass, guitar and keys, the presence and projection just has to be experienced!

Hailing from Tramore, Co. Waterford, Brand New Cadillac are a popular 4 piece on the pub scene in the south-east featuring fresh and energetic covers of pop and rock classics.

Synergy is a dance club based in Waterford offering a wide range of Hop-Hop styles for anyone who has a passion for dance.




Playing energetic Ska music, Skazoo are a six piece outfit from Tramore Co. Waterford that formed from the ashes of ska heroes Skunk!  They’ve toured with and supported Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners & The Selecter in the UK and here at home have been skanking since the early 90s up and down the length of the country. They play all the great 2tone classics as well as their own ska twist on other popular tunes.


Time In The Shade


Reformed Waterford 80s band Time in the Shade are prog rock band who play a mix of original music and rock covers from bands such as Love and Money, Deacon Blue, David Bowie, as well as Mike and the Mechanics


Conor Clancy


Conor Clancy is a Pop, Funk and Soul artist from Tramore, Co. Waterford.  He’s known mainly for his music project, TOUCAN, with the single We Fell For Miles having reached over 1.5 million streams on Spotify. He’s played support for Nile Rodgers & CHIC as well as performing in the Royal Albert Hall and has worked with many Irish artists such as 1000 beasts and the Backroad Smokers Club, some of whom join him on O’Connell Street for Winterval.

Liam Merriman


Merriman is a singer-songwriter who has also toured with and supported many major folk acts including Nanci Grifith, Christy Moore, Kiki Dee, Paul Brady and Donovan. Hot Press, Ireland’s leading music magazine, described Liam’s compositions in a four-star album review as follows: “inspired by Gordon Lightfoot and Paul Simon… adding his own contemporary polish and a subtle Irish twist… reinforces Merriman as a premier league songwriter”.


Deise Brass


Dixieland Jazz, all the way from Dungarvan!  This 10 piece band love to share the enjoyment of old swing and jazz standards from New Orleans from the roaring 1920′ and ’30s, some of which are now over 100 years old! It’s hard not to have a smile on your face when you hear these guys play!

Richie Hayes


Richie Hayes Richie has been involved in the world of entertainment for over twenty-five years and is a recognisable and much-loved face in TV, Theatre and Pantomime in Ireland. In 2012 Richie became a household name when he appeared on the hit TV Shows Mrs Browns Boys Christmas Special as ‘Jake’, The Voice of Ireland, Celebrity Bainisteior and The Beo Show. He has had four Top 10 hits in the iTunes Charts with One Voice, Song for Lilly Mae, Gimme One More Chance and Oh Julie. Following the success of these hits, Richie released two highly acclaimed albums, What About Me and A New Road. This seasoned entertainer was based in Florida where he performs his own Variety Show for 3 years and has fronted the world-famous Jury’s Irish Cabaret along with tours of America & Canada including Caribbean & Mediterranean Cruises. A host of Musicals and Pantomime’s spanning over 18 years at The Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, he is now in his 10th year at Limerick’s University Concert Hall Panto Richie ran one of Ireland’s most successful Stage Schools for ten years where he was Artistic Director. His directing credits include Avenue Q, Seussical the Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys & Dolls, Sugar and Legally Blonde. He has also been resident director with Waterford Panto Society for 6 years. He directed the UK and Irish National Tour of Menopause The Musical for Robert C Kelly Productions. In recent years he took the role of Associated Producer for UCH panto and really enjoys being part of the creative process of the show.
